Traditional Martial Artists

In the changing landscape of martial arts, many civilians and practitioners are looking to the martial arts more for fitness, sports, combat training, self-defense training and physical discipline. However, many martial arts were initially based in traditional values of self-awareness, character development, and spiritual and philosophical cultivation. Traditional martial arts practitioners observe all of the above.

For the most part, traditional martial artists adhere to the original training methods, skill sets and techniques as outlined by the founders of their particular style of martial arts. They also try to live by a moral code of conduct, like that observed by their predecessors.
