There are martial men who choose to fight in the ring for fame and then there is the quiet breed of martial military men who use their knowledge to protect their country and help civilians learn how to protect their families. Jim Wagner is just such a man.
Jim Wagner has served the United States and its people in many capacities—first in the Army, then as a corrections officer, police officer, SWAT officer, diplomatic bodyguard and federal air marshal. He currently serves as an Army Reserve soldier in a military police unit. Based on his military and law-enforcement experiences, Wagner created a self-defense program known as the Reality-Based Personal Protection system. Through a diverse curriculum, he teaches ordinary people how to fight and protect their loved ones as if they had all the years of hard training like a career military man.
The program is so effective that in 2006, Black Belt inducted Wagner into its Hall of Fame as Self-Defense Instructor of the Year.
