MMA Workouts

Mixed-martial arts workouts involve intense explosive-power and core-strength exercises that aren’t normally used in traditional martial arts schools. Typical MMA workouts involve the fighter practicing several stand-up fighting methods with grappling and ground-fighting exercises. Because the fighters are studying to compete or train in self-defense, these exercises also help them work on their mindset—no matter who the opponent, the MMA fighter battles until his opponent is defeated.

Other popular MMA workouts include dragging weights, lifting kettlebells, throwing medicine balls, hanging from ropes, sprawling, sit-ups and more when combined with striking or kicking.
