Black Belt's cover-story decisions are made by the editors and are based on a number of factors.

How can I nominate someone for the Black Belt Hall of Fame or a school/business for the Black Belt Industry Awards?
Each year Black Belt (and now www.blackbeltmag.com) publishes ballots for both the Hall of Fame and the Industry Awards. Profiles for the winners are published in the magazine and online each year following the voting and selection processes.
Can I buy back issues?
Black Belt does not carry a running archive of back issues for sale. Many issues from the magazine’s history can be purchased from private collectors and/or online at various auction and collectors’ sites. However, you can purchase high-quality, frame-worthy reprints of covers from your favorite vintage issues from 1962 through 2006 by clicking here!
Can I preview books?
Soon you will be able to see elements from the interiors of our book library! Currently you can view large-image renditions of many of our books’ front covers by visiting the Black Belt Store here.
Can I preview DVDs?
Preview trailers are in production for all of our DVD titles. Soon they will be linked to the individual DVD titles in our store. As they are uploaded, you can view them in our Videos section and use the DVD Code No. (or numbers) featured in each trailer for reference when shopping in the online Black Belt Store here!
Does Black Belt sell uniforms, gear, etc.?
Black Belt has a selection of branded shirts, hats, hooded sweatshirts and accessories available for purchase in the Apparel section of the Black Belt Store, which you can access by clicking Shop in the black navigation bar on our homepage or clicking here.
How can I reach the people who write for Black Belt?
As www.blackbeltmag.com evolves, the Who's Who section will feature profiles, and often contact information, for the writers, photographers and other contributors who help make Black Belt the world’s leading magazine of self-defense. Currently, you can reach our editorial and advertising staff online!
When will I receive my first issue?
Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of your first issue.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Please call us, write us, or just write cancel on your invoice. You may call (800) 266-4066 (U.S. and Canada) or (386) 447-2398 (International). You can also write to P.O. Box 420235, Palm Coast, FL 32142-0235.
Will I get my money back if I cancel my subscription?
A refund will be issued for all the remaining copies that haven't been mailed at the time of the cancellation.
