Black Belt contributor Jake Burroughs started training with Mike Sherman in kenpo karate in 1991. Since then, Burroughs has had the opportunity to train with some of the best in the world. He now resides in Seattle, where he teaches full time at the Three Harmonies Martial Arts Center. Burroughs currently studies under Tim Cartmell (shen wu fighting arts), Hu Xi Lin (northern mantis kung fu) and Brian Johnson (Brazilian jiu-jitsu).
