Rick Hustead is a Los Angeles-based freelance photographer for Black Belt magazine and martial artist.

Los Angeles-based photographer Rick Hustead frequently shoots for Black Belt. He also freelances for Easyriders, V-Twin Motorcycles, In the Wind, Tailgate, RebelRodz and Savage magazines. Over the course of his career, Hustead has shot Elizabeth Taylor, Pam Grier, Travis Tritt, Faith Hill, Wayne Newton, Chuck Norris and David Carradine.

Hustead began taking taekwondo lessons in high school and possesses more than 20 years of martial arts experience. While in the U.S. Army, he trained in tang soo do and then earned his black belt under Pat Johnson. He currently studies wing chun kung fu.

Hustead volunteers for the American Heart Association and the Thousand Oaks Police Department.
