  • BRAVE CF 86 Results: Lohoré, Maaev, and Said Maalem impress in front of huge Bulgarian crowd

The first BRAVE Combat Federation event in Bulgaria, BRAVE CF 86, met expectations by delivering thrilling fights to the enthusiastic fans present at the arena in Burgas and to viewers worldwide. Here are the detailed BRAVE CF 86 Results. In the headline bout, Mohammed Said Maalem bounced back impressively from his defeat at BRAVE CF 81 by defeating Bulgarian veteran Atanas Djambazov in the third round. The initial round witnessed a showdown of strength as both competitors vied for control. Djambazov began to display signs of tiredness in the second round but persisted in fending off Said Maalem's assaults. Nonetheless, in the third round, Said Maalem seized the opportunity presented by Djambazov's fatigue and secured a victory. In the co-main event of BRAVE Combat Federation, Alex Lohoré secured his second consecutive first-round victory by defeating Bulgaria's Jivko Stoimenov. Lohoré sealed the win with a devastating uppercut that sent Stoimenov to the canvas, prompting the referee to step in after Lohoré continued with a series of strikes. Post-match, Lohoré revealed his desire for a Super Welterweight title opportunity and deliberated on the prospect of challenging Kamal Magomedov. The intense battle between Pavel Vladev and Christian Mach turned out to be quite eventful. Vladev initially aimed for a quick victory, but Mach's grappling expertise thwarted his efforts. Despite coming close to a ground-and-pound stoppage at the end of the first round, Vladev ran out of time. A similar scenario unfolded in the second round, but this time Vladev clinched the win with ground and pound just moments before the round concluded, extending his winning streak to six matches. Khamzat Maaev made a successful return to form by securing a first-round submission win over Antonio Bushev. Maaev applied constant pressure from the outset, preventing Bushev from launching any significant offense before locking in a triangle choke. This victory marked Maaev's fifth first-round finish in his professional MMA career, showcasing a strong resurgence following his defeat at BRAVE CF 79. Amateur MMA champion Rusi Minev, who has won six titles, showcased his grappling skills in a dominant professional performance against Christos Tsirimokos, handing Tsirimokos his first defeat in professional MMA. In another bout, Gabriel Gilthon faced Eduard Evdokimov in a catchweight match that pitted a grappler against a striker, with Evdokimov securing a stoppage win in the third round with a powerful liver kick followed by strikes. The opening fight saw Anton Yanchev securing a first-round submission victory to maintain his undefeated record, marking his third consecutive stoppage win. BRAVE Combat Federation, with its recent event BRAVE CF 86, solidified its position as a leading force in European MMA and as the most globally recognized MMA organization. Upcoming events include BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands on September 22, followed by BRAVE CF 88 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, featuring a world title doubleheader just six days later. • Tabatha Ricci's Rise to Glory: 'Baby Shark' Targets UFC Top 10 in Showdown Against Angela Hill This Saturday

Since making her UFC debut in 2021, Tabatha "Baby Shark" Ricci has quickly become a formidable force in the strawweight division. Despite facing a tough start by stepping up on short notice and moving up a weight class to face France’s Manon Fiorot at 125 pounds—a bout she lost in the second round—Ricci rebounded impressively upon returning to her natural 115-pound division. She embarked on a dominant four-fight winning streak before encountering a setback against Loopy Godinez last November at Madison Square Garden. Now, three years into her UFC journey, Ricci reflects on her evolution as a fighter. "I've been learning a lot," Ricci shares. "Understanding what's effective for me and what isn't has been crucial. Having the same dedicated team since the beginning has allowed us to grow together on this journey. We're continuously improving and learning from each experience." Ricci regained her momentum with a hard-fought split decision victory over Tecia Pennington earlier this year in St. Louis. This Saturday, she faces one of her most seasoned opponents yet: Angela Hill, a veteran who brings a wealth of experience and a shared history with Ricci into the Octagon at the UFC APEX. Angela Hill's resume speaks for itself. Debuting in the UFC back in 2014 against Emily Kagan, Hill has earned four Fight of the Night bonuses and one Performance of the Night bonus throughout her career. As a former Invicta FC strawweight champion, she holds the record for the most wins (11) and most fights (24) in UFC strawweight history. For Ricci, sharing the cage with Hill is not just another fight—it's a significant milestone. "It was an honor to train with Angela, and now facing her in the cage is a huge step in my career," Ricci expresses. "I feel truly honored to compete against someone of her caliber, and I'm excited to showcase my skills against such a respected opponent." With Hill currently ranked No. 9 and Ricci just outside the top 10 at No. 11, this matchup carries significant implications for the strawweight division's landscape. A victory for Ricci could catapult her into the coveted top 10 rankings, edging her closer to title contention. Despite her recent win over Pennington, Ricci isn't resting on her laurels and seeks to deliver an even more compelling performance in this co-main event. "I'm still striving to step into the cage and fully immerse myself in the fight, finding that perfect zone where everything clicks," Ricci explains. "As you climb higher in the rankings, the competition gets tougher, making it challenging to find that flow. The fight with Tecia was close, but I believe I did enough to secure the win. Against Angela, I'm feeling confident and ready to showcase my best." At 29 years old, Ricci acknowledges that the path ahead will only present tougher challenges, but she embraces the pressure as a driving force in her pursuit of greatness. Don't miss a moment of the action at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Borralho, live from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 24, 2024. Prelims kick off at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, followed by the main card live on ESPN & ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Witness as Tabatha Ricci attempts to make a statement and break into the top 10 against veteran Angela Hill in what promises to be an electrifying showdown.

  • Angela Hill Defies Age: Ready to Dominate Tabatha Ricci at UFC Fight Night!

Veteran UFC Strawweight Angela Hill is set to make her 26th walk to the Octagon this Saturday, facing Tabatha Ricci at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs Borralho. At 39, Hill is proving that age is just a number, showing no signs of slowing down and hitting her prime nearly a decade after her UFC debut. Despite being labeled as a gatekeeper, Hill is rewriting the narrative. "I might be Holly Holm when it comes to the oldest lady in the UFC," she joked, but with four wins in her last five fights, including victories over two Top 15-ranked opponents, Hill is far from done. Hill credits her recent surge to her training at Alliance MMA, where an abundance of female training partners and experienced coaches have kept her sharp. "Iron sharpens iron," she says, and Hill's improved confidence and aggressive approach in the gym have translated into better performances in the Octagon. As she prepares for her co-main event clash against Ricci, Hill is focused on a more offensive strategy, targeting her opponent's weaknesses rather than just avoiding grappling exchanges. This mindset shift has paid off, with Hill securing her first finish in four years by submitting Luana Pinheiro via guillotine choke. Heading into Saturday's fight, Hill is determined to bring the same energy. "Orcas are the number one killer of baby sharks, and that’s the vibe I wanted to bring into this fight week," she said, signaling her intent to dominate Ricci in the Octagon. Don't miss Angela Hill's latest chapter as she aims to continue her winning streak at UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs Borralho, live from UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 24, 2024. Prelims start at 7pm ET/4pm PT, with the main card kicking off live on ESPN & ESPN+ at 10pm ET/7pm PT.

  • Khamzat Maaev slaps Antonio Bushev ahead of BRAVE CF 86 after being called ''Chimaev of AliExpress''

With just hours remaining for the historic BRAVE CF 86 event in Bulgaria, tensions rose during the staredowns in Burgas on Friday evening, requiring officials to intervene. Before their main event clash on Saturday night, Mohamed Said Maalem and Atanas Djambazov had an intense face-off. However, the incident that drew the most attention at the staredowns was Khamzat Maaev, who went at opponent Antonio Bushev. Turkish star Khamzat Maaev slapped Antonio Bushev, which led to a scuffle between the fighters that had to be controlled by the officials in attendance. Later, Maaev explained that he slapped Bushev because of his recent comments. Bushev had suggested that Maaev was a "Khamzat Chimaev from AliExpress or Temu," a remark that did not sit well with Maaev. Maaev, who recently fought at BRAVE CF 79, has often been compared to Khamzat Chimaev, who also gained global recognition through BRAVE Combat Federation. Meanwhile, Bushev aims to challenge the hype surrounding Maaev and give the Bulgarian fans something to cheer. Earlier in the week, Antonio had jokingly said Maaev was a ''discounted Chimaev'', claiming he was a ''Temu Chimaev'' or ''Aliexpress Chimaev''. Elsewhere, Jivko Stoimenov and Alex Lohoré had a heated staredown ahead of their Super Welterweight co-main event at BRAVE CF 86, with both fighters clashing heads. Christian Mach and Pavel Vladev also heightened the intensity during the staredown before their Lightweight bout on Saturday night. Prior to the staredowns, all fighters successfully made weight on their first attempt, making all bouts official for the historic event in Burgas.

  • How Ronda Rousey Transformed WWE Forever: The Untold Story of Her Groundbreaking Run

Ronda Rousey, the name synonymous with judo excellence, stunned the world when she became the youngest judoka to win gold at the World Junior Judo Championships at just 17. Her career-defining moment came four years later with a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. But while the Olympic stage is typically the pinnacle for most athletes, Rousey had bigger plans, using her success as a launchpad to global stardom. The UFC Queen Who Changed the Game A little over four years after her Olympic triumph, Rousey shattered expectations by becoming the first women’s champion in UFC history. Despite Dana White’s initial stance that women would never fight in the Octagon, Rousey’s dominance forced a seismic shift in the sport. Today, women’s MMA is a cornerstone of the UFC, with upcoming bouts like the Grasso vs. Shevchenko trilogy at UFC 306 capturing the world’s attention. Without Rousey, the landscape of the UFC—and women’s sports as a whole—would be unrecognizable. Her transition from the Octagon to WWE posed a critical question: Could she revolutionize the world of professional wrestling the way she did in MMA? From Octagon Royalty to Wrestling Superstar Rousey’s judo expertise was pivotal in her seamless transition to mixed martial arts and later to WWE. Her first WWE match at WrestleMania 34 alongside Kurt Angle was a spectacle, where she showcased her judo prowess by taking down Triple H and forcing Stephanie McMahon into submission. The debut wasn’t just a match—it was a statement that Rousey was here to dominate. But her journey in WWE wasn’t just about the moves in the ring. Ronda Rousey: The Persona That Divided the WWE Universe In the high-octane world of WWE, charisma is king. Ronda Rousey’s wrestling abilities were never in question, but her persona struggled to resonate with the WWE audience. Unlike her time in the UFC, where her fight promotion skills were praised, Rousey found WWE’s scripted promos challenging. Her struggles on the microphone were evident, and fans often tuned out. However, her reputation as “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” kept her relevant, even when her mic skills didn’t. Defining Matches and Moments That Made History Rousey’s WWE tenure wasn’t without its highlights. Her rivalry with Alexa Bliss culminated in a historic win at SummerSlam 2018, where she captured the Raw Women’s Championship. But it was her feud with Becky Lynch that truly cemented her legacy. The anticipated showdown was derailed when Lynch suffered a concussion, but the eventual clash did not disappoint. The build-up to WrestleMania saw Rousey, Lynch, and Charlotte Flair headline the first-ever women’s main event. The triple threat match, ultimately won by Lynch, was a groundbreaking moment for WWE, solidifying Rousey’s impact on the sport. To date, it remains the only time women have closed WrestleMania, a testament to Rousey’s star power. Despite her WWE departure, Ronda Rousey’s influence on professional wrestling is undeniable. While her mic skills may have faltered, her ability to draw crowds and break barriers ensured that her WWE run will be remembered as nothing short of revolutionary. And if her recent comments are anything to go by, we may not have seen the last of the Rowdy one just yet.
