BRAVE Combat Federation, is set to return to Bahrain on December 13 with BRAVE CF 91, headlined by a thrilling Bantamweight World Title showdown. Reigning champion Nkosi Ndebele will put his belt on the line against Zimbabwe’s rising star Nicholas Hwende in what promises to be a high-stakes battle.
This marks Ndebele’s second title defense after his spectacular victory over Jose Torres in the main event of BRAVE CF 82 earlier this year in Mauritius. As the first fully homegrown BRAVE CF champion, Ndebele has carved a legendary path within the organization, climbing the ranks through the visionary BRAVE CF-IMMAF amateur system. With his trilogy against Torres now etched in history, Ndebele is focused on cementing his dominance in the division.
Challenger Nicholas Hwende enters this fight with undeniable momentum, riding a two-fight win streak. After a stellar performance in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 82, where he outclassed Khurshed Nazarov via unanimous decision, Hwende demanded an All-African title fight—a request now realized in this headline bout.
The co-main event adds to the excitement, featuring Arab MMA icon Hamza Kooheji taking on Turkey’s Alperen Karabulut. Kooheji, back after a two-year hiatus due to injury, made a triumphant return with a first-round TKO victory on the regional circuit. Fighting on home soil, he aims to continue his resurgence against Karabulut, a top-ranked Kickboxer, Muay Thai champion, and seasoned MMA fighter with over 100 combat sports victories.
Adding to the grandeur, BRAVE CF 91 is part of the sixth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week, which includes BRAVE CF 92 and the IMMAF Youth Asian Championships. This marks the 11th event of BRAVE CF’s record-breaking 2024 calendar and follows its historic debut in Austria with BRAVE CF 90.
