Twelve supercharged martial arts bouts will hit Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for ONE Friday Fights 63 on Friday, May 17.
Yodphupa Wimanair won the Road to ONE Thailand tournament and burst onto the global stage with four consecutive victories. Just when it looked like title contention may be in his future, he hit a roadblock in his journey.
Yodphupa has dropped his last three matches, two by narrow majority and split decision. He will try to get off the schneid against Soner Sen in Bangkok.
Sen got off to a hot start in his ONE career with two victories but dropped a decision against Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in February. Toppling Yodphupa would put him right back in the hunt in the bantamweight division.
Sagaengarm Jitmuangnon and Chatpichit SorSorToipadriew will duke it out for the fourth time in their careers when they meet in a 113-pound catchweight contest.
Last April, Chatpichit edged ahead 2-1 in their exciting series. Still, the next installment will give Sagaengarm a chance to even the score and continue to show how, on any given night, either man can notch a win over the other.
Eight additional Muay Thai bouts help round out the card, but two mixed martial arts encounters will also help drive excitement in Thailand.
Undefeated Suleyman “Sultan” Suleymanov puts his 10-0 record on the line against Kazakbai Tilenov in bantamweight action. The night begins when David Cooke meets Kohei Takegami as both men seek an impactful debut in the organization.
The action gets underway at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT on Friday, May 17, via ONE’s official YouTube channel.
