Here are the most recent UFC rankings updates. See the shifts following UFC Fight Night: Magny vs Prates and discover the stakes for UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden.

Changes were observed in three divisions: welterweight, strawweight, and women’s bantamweight.

Welterweight

Carlos Prates secured his debut at No. 13 after knocking out Neil Magny in the first round, marking his fourth victory of the year. Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal switched positions, with Thompson now at No. 10 and Neal at No. 11. Michael Page slipped down two spots to No. 15.

Women’s Strawweight

After securing her third consecutive win with a unanimous decision against Luana Pinheiro, Gillian Robertson now sits at No. 12 in the rankings. Consequently, Angela Hill drops to No. 13 while Pinheiro moves down to No. 14.

Women’s Bantamweight

Chelsea Chandler trades places with Jacqueline Cavalcanti, moving from No. 15 to No. 14.

UFC 309: Jones vs Miocic & Ahead

Once more, the UFC is set to deliver an incredible event at “The World’s Most famous Arena.”

The headline bout features Jon Jones defending the heavyweight championship against Stipe Miocic, who holds the most title defenses in the division’s history. Jones boasts the most UFC title fights ever, across all weight classes, setting the stage for a clash between two legends.

In the co-main event, former champion Charles Oliveira and ex-title contender Michael Chandler will have a rematch. Oliveira, ranked No. 2 in the lightweight division, will face No. 7 Chandler, with the outcome potentially deciding the next title challenger in 2025. Expect an intense showdown between these two fighters who only know how to move forward.

In a showdown of ranked flyweights, Viviane Araújo and Karine Silva will compete against each other. Araújo aims to bounce back from a defeat to Natalia Silva earlier this year, while Silva (unrelated) has secured four consecutive victories since joining the promotion.

Wrapping up the early prelims, Marcin Tybura will face Jhonata Diniz. Tybura, ranked No. 9, experienced a submission loss to Serghei Spivac in August. On the flip side, Diniz boasts a 2-0 record in the Octagon and epitomizes the emerging generation of heavyweights in MM.
