Ben Tynan has been making his presence known in ONE Championship, and the Canadian will get another chance to shine on Friday, June 7.
“Vanilla Thunder” will be right back in action at ONE 167: Stamp vs. Zamboanga against Mauro Cerilli.
Tynan knocked off Kang Ji Won in his ONE debut in 2023 and made it back-to-back wins in early April by defeating Duke Didier. The two wins even captured the attention of heavyweight king Anatoly Malykhin.
Inching closer to title contention, Tynan will have another shot in U.S. primetime to state his case as one of the division’s elite.
But Cerilli is looking to do the same exact thing.
The Italian heavyweight is a winner in two of his last three outings, with his only loss coming at the hands of Amir Aliakbari. When “The Hammer” returned last September, Cerilli defeated Paul Elliott by TKO.
A win over Tynan would put him right back into the thick of things at heavyweight and derail the hype train of the Canadian as it begins to pick up steam.
Unquestionably, Malykhin will be watching intently from the sidelines inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The winner will emerge with a huge boost to their ONE Heavyweight MMA World Championship chase.
