The November 1973 edition of Karate Illustrated featured Emil Farkas, widely known as the “Karate Instructor to the Stars.”


As the founder of the iconic Beverly Hills Karate Academy, Farkas established a hub for Hollywood’s elite throughout the 1970s and '80s. More than just a dojo, his academy became a go-to destination for actors training for action roles and celebrities seeking expert self-defense instruction.
