ONE Friday Fights 69 went down inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Friday, July 5, with an exceptional night of Muay Thai and MMA action.
Nabil Anane silenced many doubters in the main event with his second-round knockout over Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai. Anane utilized his extreme length to pressure Kulabdam and won the battle in the clinch with elbows and knees. Eventually, the punishment became too much, and Kulabdam fell to the canvas and could not continue.
Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang wasted little time in dispatching of Petsansuk ChotBangsaen. The Thai star picked up his sixth consecutive victory on ONE Friday Fights with the first-round win. The knockout came at the 1:53 mark of the first round, showing why ONE Friday Fights remains one of the most exciting showcases for martial arts.
Sunday Boomdeksean dropped Chusap Sor Salachee for the first time in the second round of their matchup and he knew the finish was near. As Chusap returned to his feet, Sunday went for it all. Although Chusap answered the referee’s count again, Sunday finished him off by dropping him a third time for the TKO.
The meeting between Pongsiri PK Saenchai and Soe Lin Oo was guaranteed to be exciting and the match delivered. In the end, Soe Lin Oo’s power was the difference, putting Pongsiri down for the count in the second round. The victory earned the Myanmar powerhouse a six-figure ONE contract.
The first Muay Thai finish of the night came at the hands of Ikko Ota. With blistering speed and impactful force, Ota sent BM Fairtex crashing to the canvas, where he was able to meet the referee’s count. The second-round finish gave Ota his first win in ONE.
Mixed martial arts got the night off to a hot start. Katsuaki Aoyagi defeated Jung Jun Hee with a first-round TKO in the night’s opening bout. That was quickly followed by Avazbek Kholmirzaev submitting Changy Kara-Ool with an armbar in the first round to keep the momentum rolling in Bangkok.
