ONE Friday Fights 48 was cracking on Friday, January 19. The 11-bout card was exciting from start to finish, with some incredible matchups that displayed what makes four-ounce Muay Thai the most exciting and striking sport in the world.

Kongthoranee Sor Sommari looked incredible during his main event match against Russia’s Sharif Mazoriev. The Thai star notched his six-straight win with a complete performance and only narrowly missed picking up a knockout victory in the closing seconds of the match.

Mazoriev showed his toughness. However, he was exhausted in the final round and merely survived the onslaught.

In the co-main event, Aekkalak Sor Samarngarment edged out Petsansab Sor Jaruwan after nine hard minutes of action. The two Thai warriors bit down on their mouthpieces and slung leather the entire way. Aekkalak did just enough to earn the victory and scored his first win on the global stage.

Sornsueknoi FA Group shut down Ngaopayak Adsanpatong inside the first frame. The two were aggressive from the opening bell, but a well-placed body kick landed to the liver. Unable to recover, Ngaopayak could not answer the count. Sornsueknoi had an easy night at the office.

Kwanjai KwanjaiMuaythaigym put forth an excellent showing in her 120-pound catchweight affair with Petganya Sor Puangthong. After the first knockdown, she was relentless until she scored a knee that put Petganya away for good.

Joachim Ouraghi looked spectacular in his second-round TKO win over Gingsanglek Tor Laksong. The talented French-Algerian worked over his opponent’s body and earned the finish that electrified the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium crowd.
