Max Holloway is a name synonymous with greatness in the world of mixed martial arts, and as UFC 308 approaches, the Hawaiian sensation is on a mission to etch his name in the history books once again. After a career filled with jaw-dropping performances and iconic moments, Holloway has his eyes locked on regaining the UFC Featherweight Title, as he prepares to face Ilia Topuria this Saturday in Abu Dhabi. With his legacy already cemented as one of the greatest, Holloway is chasing even more accolades, determined to solidify his status as the undisputed featherweight G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time).

A Career of Epic Proportions

Max Holloway’s career has been nothing short of legendary. From his humble beginnings to becoming one of the most revered fighters in UFC history, Holloway has consistently delivered record-breaking performances. He already holds numerous UFC records, including most significant strikes landed and most featherweight wins, but that’s not enough for “Blessed.”

At UFC 300, Holloway claimed the BMF (Baddest Motherf***er) title with an unforgettable last-second knockout of Justin Gaethje, a fight that showcased Holloway’s brilliance. For 25 minutes, Holloway fought a near-perfect fight against one of the most dangerous lightweights, culminating in a knockout that sent the T-Mobile Arena into a frenzy. It was a perfect representation of Holloway’s fighting spirit—a warrior who thrives in the heat of battle.

But for Holloway, the journey doesn't stop with the BMF title. The 32-year-old still has his sights set on reclaiming the featherweight belt, and this Saturday at UFC 308, he gets his chance.

The Desire to Be the Greatest

“Records, I want them all,” Holloway declared in a recent interview. His hunger to surpass the achievements of the past drives him forward, with a laser focus on reclaiming the belt that was once his. Holloway’s respect for legends like Jose Aldo is clear, but he’s determined to surpass the Brazilian’s seven title defenses. Having defended the featherweight title three times in the past, Holloway knows he needs to raise the bar—and he’s ready to do just that.

Ilia Topuria, the undefeated Georgian-Spanish fighter, presents a formidable challenge. Topuria has bulldozed his way through the division, including a dominant win over Alexander Volkanovski, the man who took Holloway’s belt. However, Holloway remains unfazed by Topuria’s mind games, reminding fans and critics alike that he fights for more than just wins—he fights for his people, his family, and his homeland.

Fighting for Something Bigger

Holloway’s connection to his roots runs deep. As a proud representative of Hawaii, Holloway has consistently used his platform to shine a light on important issues. From speaking out against the devastating Maui wildfires to addressing gun violence, Holloway fights with his heart on his sleeve, representing his community with pride every time he steps into the Octagon.

“When I go and fight, I'm not just fighting for myself,” Holloway said. “I'm fighting for something bigger than me. I'm fighting for my friends, my family, my wife, my son. I'm fighting for the whole island, all the islands, and the world."

The Final Chapter?

At 32, Holloway is far from finished. In fact, he believes his best days are still ahead. Looking back at his first reign as featherweight king, Holloway admits he was “immature” and eager to prove himself. Now, he enters the second phase of his career with wisdom and a renewed sense of purpose. He’s no longer just the young lion taking down the old guard—he’s the seasoned veteran, ready to show the next generation of fighters what it takes to build a legacy like his.

“This second run is going to be a fun one,” Holloway says with confidence. With five wins in his last seven fights and an epic BMF title victory under his belt, Holloway is arguably in the best shape of his life. The question remains: can he dethrone the undefeated Topuria and regain the featherweight crown?

What to Expect at UFC 308

As the Octagon descends on Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi this Saturday, fans around the world are bracing for fireworks. Holloway vs. Topuria promises to be a high-octane affair, with both fighters bringing relentless pressure and striking prowess. Holloway’s experience, grit, and championship pedigree will be tested against Topuria’s youth, power, and unbeaten record.

But one thing is certain—Max Holloway, the Hawaiian warrior, is coming to make history. With records in his sights and a legacy still being written, Holloway’s pursuit of greatness continues at UFC 308.

Don’t miss a second of the action as Max Holloway aims to reclaim his featherweight title and remind the world why he is still one of the greatest fighters to ever step foot in the Octagon. Tune in live this Saturday for UFC 308: Topuria vs. Holloway, live from Abu Dhabi.
