ONE Championship is ready to light up Bangkok once again with ONE Friday Fights 65 on Friday, May 31.
Flyweights Puengluang Baanramba and Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi will take the main event distinction at the event. Puengluang has been perfect thus far in his ONE tenure, with a 6-0 record on ONE Friday Fights.
Jaosuayai has found consistency a bit harder to come by with a 3-2 record. Still, he has shown himself well against talented strikers and could steal one away on Friday. A victory over the surging Puengluang would go a long way to moving him closer to a six-figure contract.
In a 128-pound catchweight Muay Thai matchup, Petphupa Aekpujean meets Longern Sor Sommai in the evening’s co-main event. Both men are coming in off recent losses and are motivated to use this opportunity to get in the win column and build momentum.
In a featured contest, Ilyas Musaev will do battle with Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri once again. The two previously met in an entertaining Muay Thai showdown in December 2023. The same is expected in the rematch.
Yod-IQ earned the nod by a split decision back in December. Musaev will look to even the score, while Yod-IQ hopes to electrify the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium crowd with an even more commanding victory.
Two exciting MMA bouts will also happen on the card.
Ryosuke Honda takes on Ryosuke Noda in a strawweight contest, and Carlo Bumina-ang meets Chayan Oorzhak at bantamweight. While Muay Thai takes the spotlight, these two MMA matches have the chance to steal the show on Friday.
